About lifesaving sports
St Kilda Life Saving Club provides a range of opportunities for club members to participate in surf life saving sports locally, nationally and internationally.
Our main segment of lifesaving sports is Surf Boat Rowing. However, St Kilda Life Saving Club is expanding its competitive avenues such as pool, IRB racing, board paddle and ski paddle.
Below are some of the achievements and milestones that St Kilda Life Saving Club has recently achieved.
Surf Boat Rowing
The 2014/15 season was one of St Kilda's most memorable milestone for Surf Boat Rowing. The club's crews participated in the Rescue 2014 World Championships in Monteplier France. Bringing home gold in the Men's and Women's Masters World Title, the Reserve Grade World Title and Silver in the Open Women's World Title. The St Kilda Women's team were asked to represent Australia in the Nation Race at Biarritz Infinite Ocean event the following weekend. Which the crew also won!
The 2017/18 Aussies saw the 220 Masters win a gold with the U/19 Ladies being in the top 12 of Australia, and a top 24 for Open Men.

Surf Ski
Surf Ski is becoming a popular competition at St Kilda with members competing at state titles and ironman events.
Club members in this sport train constantly throughout both on-season and off-season periods during weekdays and weekend training sessions. The hard work pays off with club members achieving high results at events, and it's a great lifesaving sport to try out for sure!
